Man,
he was totally lying. Look at him, stumbling over his words,
barely able to pull it together and muster up a full, complete
sentence at first. Trying and failing to CONVINCE Steve that
he wasn’t right. But he was, and they both knew it.
Evidently he didn’t expect to be put on the spot. He saw his
posturing, the extent he went to lengthen his limbs and emphasize his
height. Steve clicked his tongue. Maybe he should lay off a little, but it was pretty funny. ❛ Huh…So Little Wheeler DOES
have a crush. ❜ In contrast to Mike’s blatant denial of the facts, Steve
was naturally honest. He sounded almost pleased. ❛ Don’t worry
kid, I can keep a secret. ❜
Not like he could tell Nancy since she would QUESTION
where the information came from. Then he would HAVE to explain
the whole ordeal about getting caught sneaking onto the
rooftop and Mike biking off and that would just not look or sound
good on his part — for more than one reason.
❛ That’s okay. It takes a few years to master the skills
I’ve come to know. ❜ There wasn’t any hint of self doubt or
irony, he meant what he was saying. He had been with enough
girls to know what he was doing, although Nancy was the closest to
something entirely new. No girl he had been with was like Nancy. ❛
You would probably do the polite thing and knock on the front
door, WOULDN’T you? ❜ Steve cocked his head to one side; the
answer was written all over his little, freckled face without even
needing to be stated. ❛ But let me tell you now before you get
much older and start trying to pursue your crush. Fathers tend to
DISLIKE seeing a boy interested in their girl. ❜
❝ Thanks for the advice, I guess. ❞
His statement is uncertain, poised more like a question than a statement, and he’s stuck standing there trying to figure out why this conversation just had to happen in the first place. Wrinkling his nose up and rolling back down to his natural height, Mike averts his gaze off to the side, but although his eyes linger on a car parked across the street he wouldn’t be able to tell you what make or model it was, or even what color it was—-he failed to take anything in, looking but not really seeing, all in an attempt to shake off the defensive demeanor Steve had managed to rile up in a matter of seconds. He’d be embarrassed by the fact, but he tries not to dwell on it too much for the sake of turning the subject away from him and back towards the other.
❝ My dad doesn’t seem all that worried about you and Nancy, though—-I don’t even really think he cares, since he didn’t really say anything when you got brought up before. Don’t really think you have to worry about the whole ‘I went to jail once, and I’m not afraid to go back,’ speech from him. ❞
Finally, his full attention is back on the older boy, expression serious even as he mocks his father’s voice and briefly rolls his eyes—-he was a stereotypical dad in a lot of ways, but definitely not like that.
❝ I think my mom is the one you should be worried about. ❞
Rest assured that, if I have followed you, I have read your rules. If you approach me and ask for a thread, I will read your rules. Your rules are as important as mine, and I will try my best to respect them and keep them in mind, I simply ask for the same respect in return.
II.
I am twenty-one, but my muse is only thirteen, which means I am unwilling to roleplay anything remotely sexual. A special case would be that it's during the verse where he is decidely twenty-three years old, but that would be especially rare and most likely will not happen as I am almost never comfortable enough with another person to do so. Any other type of NSFW, though, is fine - I am all for the blood, guts and glory.
III.
I reserve the right to drop a thread if need be. This might be because I don't see it going anywhere, or I simply lost muse for it. This doesn't mean I won't ever roleplay with you again, and I encourage you to do tons of threads with me.
IV.
I write a lot, and I tend to go overboard quite often. This is because I prefer novella, but this doesn't mean I won't do anything else with you. but, I at least hope I get as much effort in a reply as I put out, even if it isn't an entire paragraph.
V.
Ships are fine, and I am incredibly open with them, but I will not tolerate force-shipping on my muse of any kind. This doesn't mean that your muse can't flirt with mine, even if my muse does not take it well; please, feel free to do your character justice, and if that means openly flirting, go right ahead. But, if I openly say I am not comfortable with a ship, I wish that to be the end of it. Anything to do with ships and shipping in general can be discussed privately, so we're both clear on terms and whats going to happen.
VI.
Lastly, I will not participate in any roleplays that include rape, pedophilia, or anything of the sort. I don't condone these sorts of things, and I will refuse them on the spot, with no further discussion. Push me on these things, and you will be blocked.
Set during the main plot of 'Stranger things', taking place at any time during the main canon. Mike is anything but an ordinary middle school student, and Hawkins is anything but an ordinary little town, even if they both seem so on the outside. Something sinister is dwelling in the shadows, something that's seemingly coated in the very worst of every horror story and dungeon monster, and it's blood thirsty—-thankfully, dungeon experience isn't exactly something Mike is inept in.
It's been ten years since Hawkins, Indiana experienced the frightening impossibilities of life as we know it, and Mike is finally beginning to build a life of his own on top of it all. Choosing a college and a major to match seem to be the most stressful thing readily available to him, but something tells him that's going to be the very least of his worries pretty soon.
Will's strange abilities started during the summer just before he entered kindergarten, where vivid 'hallucinations' would come to him at any moment, and the visions of events yet to come were always followed by a migraine that could bring you to your knees. It was hard to hide it from his three best friends, but then he never really wanted to to begin with—-the deal was sealed with a promise never to tell anyone else, and every episode was explained away with medical gargin and well thought-out lies. Still, even with the best, most careful cover up, he was bound to be found sooner or later. As it were, it came to be sooner rather than later, and suddenly Will was missing and they were left with no clues and an empty space at every table, in every classroom, in their lives. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what might've happened to him, and his mother's insistence on the matter made it so incredibly easy to get involved with a lopsided search and rescue. Easy to start, at least, but not to finish—-leads went nowhere and every time they thought they were getting close to finding him they only ended up disappointed, another trail gone cold and nothing to show for it. It isn't until they run into her—-it wasn't her name tattooed on her arm or the fact that her name suggested she wasn't the first or the fact that she could move things with her mind that made her special—-that possibilities began to open before them. She, too, was a well kept secret between friends that was bound to be spilled eventually, but she was hope and they vowed to protect that, to protect her, no matter the cost. They never gave up, even when it seemed the world was out to get them and everything seemed bleak and super heroes seemed so much more tragic than they ever had before—-even when Eleven disappeared, too, and their hope dwindled once again.
tldr; will has walmart brand super powers and gets taken away to hone his skills and have them be used for god knows what and eleven is an escaped angel all over again and comic book heroes lose their appeal. the boys are on the hunt to find them but luck isn't on their side and everything sucks. idk i'll try to clean this up later ya bitch is tired af
